CodeRED – FAQs

What is CodeRED & Why is it important to me ?

CodeRED is a service used to notify residents, schools, businesses by telephone, the message, or email of times of sensitive information, emergencies, urgent and general notifications.

Why, would I receive a pre-recorded enrollment call,  but need to enrolled ?

Because the CodeRED system is a new system being introduced to the Community a one-time call may take place at the beginning of the deployment phase. This system is used for emergency information, a one-time call may be made to the billing contact number on file.  The purpose of the system is to make residents aware that the emergency notification system exists and available to register.

HOWEVER, we are only permitted to communicate this information one-time . Your information is removed from the CodeRED system once the introductory call is made. All customers would be required to register in order to receive future notifications.

WHAT DO I DO IF I RECEIVE A MESSAGE?

If you receive a CodeRED phone call, listen carefully to the entire message. You can repeat the message by pressing any key.  If you receive an email or text message, please be sure to read the entire message carefully and follow all instructions.

WHAT IF I MISS A PHONE CALL?

The system will     leave   a    message   with   the   following numbers displayed on the caller ID

Emergency ID # 866-419-5000 for emergencies

General Notices ID #  855-969-4636 for non-emergencies.

The system will leave a message on your voice mail if you miss a call.  If you do not answer or have no voice mail, the system will consider the call as incomplete and will attempt to call again after several minutes have passed. If your phone line is busy, CodeRED will try two more times to connect. At any point, you may re-dial the number on your caller ID to hear a replay of the message sent.
