Committees
The Board of Supervisors (BOS) are the governing authority of the Gateway Services Community Development District.The BOS meets the first and third Thursday of each month at 3 pm and the meetings are open to the public. Please check out our Upcoming Events on our Home Page for specific BOS and Committee meeting dates and times. Meetings are held at the Gateway Administrative Complex at 13240 Griffin Drive. If you want to learn more about participating on a advisory committee or in a subcommittee, please attend one of the scheduled meetings.

The Board of Supervisors has the authority to create advisory committees for specified duties, roles, and functions. Committee meetings are also open to the public. Within those advisory committees, subcommittees can be established which are specifically for fact finding regarding specific issues.
Advisory Committee and Subcommittee Application
Advisory Committees:
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) was created and established per Resolution Number 2023-11 on December 15, 2022. Advises the GSCDD Board of Supervisors on matters pertaining to public recreation, parks, open space, programming and special events. The committee develops a sense of community and common interests in Gateway through parks and recreation. The PRAC meetings are scheduled the first Tuesday of every month at 2 P.M.

The Pelican Preserve Advisory Committee (PPAC) was established per Resolution Number 2023-01 on October 6, 2022. Gathers data and informs the Gateway community and the BOS of issues associated with the current and future use, operation, and maintenance of the various District facilities within the Pelican Preserve community.The PPAC meets the second Thursday of the month at 2 p.m.

Subcommittees:
The Safety and Security Subcommittee (SSSC) was created and established per Resolution Number 2023-01 on October 6, 2022. The subcommittee is dedicated to working on public safety through community awareness, prevention, recommendations, and education.The SSSC meeting dates are to be announced.

The Ponds/Conservation Areas Subcommittee (PCAS) was established per Resolution Number 2023-01 on October 6, 2022. The subcommittee is tasked with promoting stewardship of ponds/conservation areas. Members spearhead problem solving by identifying and recommending the implementation of effective practices. The PCAS meeting dates are to be announced.
