COMMITTEES AND SUBCOMMITTEES

Advisory committees and subcommittees were formed to advise the GSCDD Board of
Supervisors with regard to its administration of GSCDD assets and community concerns. Members
advocate for resident interests and work in the preparation of annual budgets, tracking and
reviewing expenditures, monitoring ongoing operational and maintenance needs and making
recommendations concerning contracts and community needs

The Board of Supervisors has the authority to create advisory committees for specified duties, roles, and functions. Committee meetings are also open to the public. Within those advisory committees, subcommittees can be established which are specifically for fact-finding regarding specific issues.
